Benefits of a Series
The Sobins’ yoga series are designed for students to commit to a weekly class. Students learn how to align the body from head to toe using principles of alignment from the Anusara Yoga tradition. Both alignment principles as well as postures are taught progressively, which helps students deepen their practice in a powerful way. Students learn a full range of postures appropriate to the class setting, and classes build weekly toward a pinnacle pose of the session. Classes also include Tantric philosophy, meditation, and breathwork. The series format offers you a way to come together with fellow yogis as a community each week, to dive deep into the offerings of yoga from a clear launching point, and to bring yoga into your life in a committed way.
That said, you are welcome to drop in to any class for $15. In the Tuesday Basics series, we recommend brand-new yogis attend at least the first few classes in order to get the basics of safe foundation and basic form of postures.
Make-up Policy
Students have an entire series period to make up any missed classes. Classes can be made up in any class with Sommer and Paul—including non–series classes. Please check with the instructor if not sure of the appropriate level to make up in.
Series classes do not carry over into new series with the exception of certain health or family/life circumstances. Please speak directly with the instructor to discuss individual situations.
